Founding faculty member of the Community College of Allegheny County, Tillie was a life long educator. He proudly worked along side his family at Ace Auto Wrecking of Penn Hills. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his Harley and went to Bike Week every year. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was the big kid of the family, playing games, eating candy and ice cream with the kids and getting messy! (Ben) Bonk; loving sister of Joanne (Earl) Thomas; daughter of Walter and Alice McCartney. Janet was born on June 1, 1929 in Johnstown, PA. She spent the majority of her adult life in the Pittsburgh area; the last four years she lived in Virginia. Janet was an active member of the Penn Hills Alliance Church where she sang in the choir. In her younger years she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. Janet also was a volunteer for over 25 years at Shadyside Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, traveling to see the wild ponies in Chincoteague, VA, and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
